    Coolaroo knitted shade fabrics offer three levels of UV protection: 80%, 90%, and 95%. Our PVC fabrics offer 80% and 92% UV block. Higher UV block levels provide stronger protection from sunlight and heat.

    Coolaroo doesn’t provide installation directly. However, you can contact a local installer or one of our trusted retail partners who may offer professional installation services or have recommendations.

    We recommend inspecting your shade twice a year. Check the tension, clean surfaces, and look for wear on fittings or fasteners.

  • Are some colors of shade fabric easier to see through than others?

    Yes. Darker fabrics are easier to see through because they absorb light instead of reflecting it. Lighter fabrics provide more shade but reduce outward visibility slightly.

  • Can I custom order shades to fit a unique size or space?

    Yes, custom sizes can be ordered through select retailers. Maximum sizes are typically 120-inches wide x 144-inches long for select fabrics. Maximum sizes are 96-inches wide x 144-inches long for select fabrics. Size restrictions do apply to some custom order fabrics. Check with your retailer for exact details.

  • What is the widest shade that can be custom made?

    Custom shades can be made up to 120 inches, or 10 feet, wide and as small as 36 inches, or 3 feet, depending on the fabric type.
